Comments about OFM Executive Recliner:

I looked everywhere for an office-type chair I could use in my home office at my desk/with my computer, but one that would recline with a retractable footrest when I wanted to swivel around and watch TV or a movie.\n\nAll of the shops that specialize in chairs and the business supplier chains said that such a beast did not exist. Apparently they were wrong.\n\nI'd give it five stars if it were even more comfortable, but I realize for the price that's asking for too much. It's certainly comfortable enough.

Comments about OFM Executive Recliner:

Had I been able to sit in it prior, I would have known it wasn't what I was after. Mind you, it is not bad, just not as good as I wanted. If you want an office chair that reclines, you go from this one to the Lafer Liza at $1800+; I'm now saving for the Lafer.\nFor a couple hours, this chair is fine. I need something for all-day as I work from home often, and I spend a lot of time in the office even when not working. After a few hours in this chair, I am squirming for comfort.\nThe reclining function works well, though it is creaky and somewhat simplistic in operation. Padding is adequate. Unfortunately it does not rock, so there goes the ability to lean back with my feet on the desk. The leg extension piece keeps me from tucking my legs under, so that removes another sitting position.\nOverall it rates a solid "eh" based on my needs, not necessarily my expectations.

Comments about OFM Executive Recliner:

When I received this order it was dirty and dusty like it has been in a warehouse for years. And not enough padding on the seat, you can feel the metal bar on your back. Do not buy this chair.

Comments about OFM Executive Recliner:

I only wish I hadn't waited a couple years before buying this chair! I use it in my "work room" - combination home office, sculpture studio, and bedroom. I needed ONE chair for office work, at my workbench, and for relaxation, due to very limited space. I can use this chair all ways - and even take a quick nap in it without waking up with a stiff neck. I can even sit cross-legged in it, which I often do when sculpting. I have arthritis in my spine, and I work part-time as a server, so being able to change positions and elevate my legs were primary considerations. \nThe only con is that the arms are far too low for desk/computer work - would be nice to have height-adustable arms. I have attached foam neck bolsters to them to raise them to a usable height.

Two needs met with one chair

Pros

  • Plastic wheel base

Best Uses

  • At the computer
  • Watching TV or reading

Comments about OFM Executive Recliner:

In a limited den space, we use the chair at the computer, then turn it around and recline it for watching TV or reading. Our computer setup is in a cabinet; when its doors are closed the chair looks like an attractive, comfortable choice and color (burgundy) for our den. Still, the style is executive and would be an impressive addition to an office setting. I use it upright for the computer which I use a lot and it has relieved my customary backache. My husband uses it reclined (there are 3 positions) to read and watch TV. Keep in mind that my husband resists anything new unless it's a golf club, but he took to this chair like the proverbial duck. The chair was a stellar match for our needs.
